Snow On The Mountain is an erect summer annual in the spurge family with oblong green leaves banded in white toward the top of the plant, giving flowering stems a frosted look through mid to late summer. Small greenish-yellow flowers ringed by showy white bracts draw bees and butterflies, and the plant self-sows readily to return the following year. It tolerates poor, shallow, rocky ground across a wide pH range as long as drainage is good, but its milky sap causes skin irritation and can damage the eyes on contact.
