Texas Lantana

Texas Lantana is a rounded, multi-branched shrub that blooms almost non-stop from spring through fall in tight clusters of red, orange and yellow flowers that shift color as they age. It grows into a large mound up to about six feet tall, thrives in full sun on poor, dry, well-drained ground, and shrugs off heat and drought with very little water. Butterflies and hummingbirds visit constantly, deer leave it alone, but the ripe blue-black fruit is poisonous and the crinkled leaves can irritate skin.
