Twistleaf Yucca
Yucca rupicola
Twistleaf yucca is a low, rosette-forming perennial named for its long, narrow leaves, which emerge straight and twist as they age. A flowering stalk rising well above the foliage carries fragrant, bell-shaped white flowers pollinated at night by moths. It grows in dry, rocky or limestone-based soil in full sun to partial shade, tolerates drought once established, and slowly forms a wider clump of multiple leaf heads over time.
