Basil Beebalm
Monarda clinopodioides
Basil Beebalm is a slender annual wildflower in the mint family, reaching about a foot and a half tall, with small clusters of pink to purple flowers held in the axils of its upper leaves. It blooms from late spring through summer and holds particular value as a nectar source for native bees and bumblebees. Like its relatives in the genus, it completes its entire life cycle from seed to flower in a single growing season.
