Meadow Sedge
Carex perdentata
Meadow Sedge is a deciduous, clump-forming perennial sedge with narrow, grass-like green foliage that grows into a low sward. Small greenish flower spikes appear in spring, but its main appeal is as a fine-textured, low-mowing lawn alternative. It holds up to regular foot traffic in beds and pathways where a mowed turf would otherwise be needed.
