Texas Sedge is a clump-forming, fine-textured perennial sedge with narrow, shiny deep green, semi-evergreen foliage that colonizes densely by rhizomes into a low mat. Small greenish spikes appear in spring, but the foliage itself is the main draw. It works as a mowable, low-maintenance turf substitute in sun to light shade.
